HKS provides schools with a program to enhance the English speaking, writing and  vocabulary skills of kids in the 5th-7th grade. We do this through  the unwavering support provided by HKS teacher volunteers, who play a critical role in creating a nurturing and motivating learning experience. These educators offer more than just instruction—they provide consistent emotional encouragement, patience, and individualized attention. By understanding each child's learning style and challenges, they tailor lessons to meet students where they are and help them build confidence over time. Small group sizes allow for meaningful interaction, where every child feels heard and valued. This level of personal support not only strengthens academic skills but also fosters a love for learning that stays with students well beyond the program.
